Agile Wallaby (Macropus agilis)

Size: Length (head and body): 80cm
Description: The Agile Wallaby is a animal of today's open forests, coastal sand dunes and nearby grasslands, where it grazes on native grasses.
In Pliocene times the Agile Wallaby was slightly larger than it is today. Apart from this size difference, Pliocene Agile Wallaby bones are identical to those of living Agile Wallabies.
Fossils: Pliocene fossils of the Agile Wallaby have been found at Chinchilla in Queensland.
